Reportedly there are more products coming in the future. His company, Transcendent Sound, had just begun manufacturing, and he was displaying his only product offering at the time — his well-known output-transformerless OTL amplifiers. The price is already very reasonable. Tubes, let alone employed in an OTL design, are hardly the stuff of new graduates. Ask him a question he feels qualified to answer, and you will get an answer. Rather, he attempts to give explanations as to why differences may occur and gives practical explanations on where money is well-spent in an audio system. Perhaps an Audio Reality 2 will surface in the future. Through some 60 pages of text and graphics, Rozenblit explains basic concepts for understanding audio engineering, including descriptions of electricity, conductors, resistance, capacitors, inductors, impedance, skin effect, etc.

His personality is reflected in this book. The real point of the book is rozenblti point out that you can build a truly outstanding system for a very moderate investment through a thorough understanding of the components involved.
Amidst my monthly staple of audio magazines and books appeared a book that meant something beyond advertisement and ego. Audio Reality presents educational information that can undoubtedly be found in other text books on electronics. Your alerts can be managed through your account. The designs were sort of surprising given that Rozenblit is a youngish-looking guy who appears to have graduated with a degree in electrical engineering not too long ago. Ideas sometimes stray, and much more information gets presented than the section headings would indicate.
The topics I mention here are only a fraction of what gets discussed. Reqlity Be the first to know, sign up for our newsletter: The part of the discussion I reqlity was that which covered single-ended versus balanced lines. The circuits are fully drawn and documented, but will only be understood by someone already well-versed in electronics. The information is intended for all audiophiles, to give them a requisite understanding of the science that is part of audio. Reallity two is also, obviously, a chance for him to promote his company and his products he says so in the book.
Customer Reviews Be the first to review Audio Reality. While the book gives some fairly thorough background and theory on these designs, it is not a paint-by-numbers instruction manual on building them. However, it is also the kind of information that is vital in this industry, that keeps it alive, interesting and progressing. After all, the guy rexlity tube-based equipment, and as we approach the millennium, I would think that some current-day engineering grads could take issue with that!
Audio Online Main Page. He also explains things like single-ended and balanced connections, negative feedback, dynamic range, power cords, grounding, biwiring and quite a bit more. I rozfnblit learned quite a bit in the short time it took me to read through Audio Reality.
Audio Reality by Bruce Rozenblit. I cracked open the envelope and slid my hands over the shiny cover, impressed by the glossy finish. The truth is, I view courses and books as knowledge, and I enjoy learning.
Bruce Rozenblit Karla Schiller. Fortunately for us, he has decided to spill the beans in this book. You can almost hear his realiy when explaining, resulting in the need to re-read paragraphs and just soak it all in. Whether you like the answer of not, Rozenblit will not mince words and he will get right to the point. Frankly, though, this is no real surprise because cables have realihy a source of constant debate.

AUDIO REALITY BRUCE ROZENBLIT PDF
Pitched at a level that is comprehensible to the intelligent novice, Audio Reality seeks to furnish the reader with a solid theoretical understanding of the fundamentals of audio technology. Writing in a refreshingly "curmudgeonly cheapskate" persona, the author attempts to explain the scientific facts that underlie and sometimes contradict the hearsay and mythologies of high-end audio. Although produced by a commercial manufacturer, the advantage of building your own is a subtext that runs throughout the book and Bruce wants to help equip the reader to take on that rewarding challenge. He tops off his presentation with complete schematics for some of his unconventional designs, including his complete product line!

Tubes, let alone employed in an OTL design, are hardly the stuff of new graduates. Still, it is an area that Rozenblit has studied and in which he can be considered an expert. Rozenblit continues to break away from the norm and now sells all of his products factory-direct.
Audio Reality by B. This book we are going to write about is distributed in Italy by Audion and has a strict connection with tubes. The author is perhaps not very famous, but one of his products has been awarded a Class A status by Stereophile, definitely an exceptional situation, which is even more surprising taking into account the price: around USD for a monoblocks pair but there exists a stereo version which costs about one half. The book gives a lot of answers. The first part of the book is targeted to the average audiophile, the one that is scared by technical information, but would like to understand something more. In the foreword some philosophical issues are faced: for example it is said that an amplifier is really the sum of its parts, and even though tubes and transistors and any other device has its own sonic imprinting due to the different technologies, and not to mystical elements These are neat, strong, sometimes nearly excessive ideas, but can be agreed upon by any serious hi-fi designer.
