Shakara I know that this thread is pretty old, but I wanted to thank you for the solution. This is also the tensoin on the ball! The Springs inside is lubricated with silicon lubricant. If in doubt read the manual I had already realised r2c it was possible to modify this head. Had the same looseness issue with a used head from eBay and gave the seller quite a bit of e-mail trouble about getting a non-working item. The dvd planer opens manually but not with remote.

Especially thank you to jmanx for the helpful photo and the exact Allen wrench size. Had the same looseness issue with a used head from eBay and gave the seller quite a bit of e-mail trouble about getting a non-working item. Now I have a working item and an eBay seller to apologize to. I also never realized that the friction know was only for the handle resistance. I always felt it made no difference - to the ball friction! This head had sat idle for something like 3 years. When I pulled it out, there was little friction to the ball.

This post solved it for me. Zuiko Digital ED mm F4. This is also the tensoin on the ball! I disassembled the Manfrotto RC2, for same allready mentioned reason. I had based my comment about the tension wheel applying to the handle on the earlier comment jmanx. From your pictures, it looks like the friction wheel has everything to do with the ball, not the handle. Unless there is some additional friction at the far pivot point at the top of the handle that the wheel affects.

That looks more like a stopping point, though. I still feel no discernible difference in the ball tension when I use the friction wheel. Maybe it is just my unit. I get significant difference in tension when I adjust the previously identified screw even a little bit. It would make much more sense to have adjustment through the wheel for on-the-go changes. Thanks for posting the pictures.

Manfrotto 322RC2 Joystick head very loose, even on full friction?

Kimi Manfrotto RC2 Head can it be modified? As promised, here is a solution to a Manfrotto RC2 head not gripping the manfrptto very tightly. BTW these heads are easily disassembled but watch out for flying parts. Alternatively, the RC2 can be transformed into a joystick-grip ball head suitable for right or left-handed use with the control handle oriented vertically and the quick release adapter attached to the top of the configuration. The SiOnyx Aurora manfroto a compact camera designed to shoot stills and video in color under low light conditions, so we put it to the test under the northern lights and against a Nikon D5. I come from a video background which uses a different kind of head so this was quite comfortable for me to adapt to.

Faugore Going from horizontal mnfrotto vertical mode is so easy using this joystick head. Is it enough of a refresh to keep up with the times? This is also the tensoin on the ball! The built-in bubble spirit level is a nice touch. Be the first to review this item. To reposition the center column in the horizontal position first raise the center column so that the joint is free from the shoulder of the tripod base.
